HISTORY

The decree of the Council of Ministry and Decision № 2 dated 04/1959 issued by the Executive Committee of the Regional public council gives the right to "Rodopi" printing house to get separated as an independent enterprise. The first year they have 5 printing machines and 2 manually working printing cutters. In 1960 the printing of "New life" newspaper started.  The type-setting of the newspaper as well as 99% of the production operations were implemented manually. In 1964 the printing house moved in a new building where it is located nowadays. During its almost fifty-year long history the equipment of the printing house has been changed and the printing capacity and possibilities have been increased. In the beginning automatic high-printing machines were installed. A storage room for the ready production was built. The company run off-set workshop for black and white and coloured printing. In 1979 the first copy of the coloured literary attachment to "New life" newspaper called "Zornitsa".
With the new computer technologies and their coming in the polygraph business the printing house started working with computers for the preparation of the printer’s activity and they also bought large-format six-colour printer.
